This may not be a critical issue for you since it is a LAN facing service, but the type of infrastructure information being exchanged combined with the fact that it is usually accessed over WiFi protocols might make you want to consider it – especially considering it is a 5 minute fix. Construct an URL pathrelative to the script path of the server side LuCI application (usually /cgi-bin/luci). You can now skip the manual editing of the /etc/config/network file. Using 802.1q in OpenWRT is very difficult when working on a device that doesn’t have a built-in switch or the when the switch chipset isn’t supported. github.com
